The University of Oxford and Oxford Brookes University recently hosted Aminatta Forna, OBE in conversation with Elleke Boehmer. This event was the first of the Mellon-Sawyer Seminar Series 2017-18 ‘Post-War: Commemoration, Reconstruction, Reconciliation’.

Aminatta discussed the ways in which her works, such as The Memory of Love and The Devil That Danced on the Water, have explored conflict  and how literature can offer new perspectives on commemoration, reconstruction and reconciliation.
