In February, the Provost announced the winners of its 2016-2017 Distinguished Associate Professor Awards - one of whom was English professor Daniel Shore. Started in 2015, the award seeks to reward exceptional Associate Professors who are "pushing the envelope of knowledge in their field and transmitting their passion for such work to their students." Shore has been recognized specifically for his veracious writing ability which has yielded published articles, and some forthcoming, in the PMLA, Critical Inquiry, Modern Philology, Shakespeare Quarterly, Milton Studies, and Milton Quarterly. Furthermore, his second book, Cyberformalism, as well as his philological work, have caught the attention of those interested in linguistic history.
