The Pearl Project Report – Released!

Posted in News Story

On January 20, 2011 the Pearl Project Report was released and it has hit the national and international press big-time. The project represents exactly what Georgetown is about and what we as an English Department support: it is a social justice initiative that drew on our research and teaching missions to intersect with a major political and social problem out in the world. The groups that worked on the project included both our traditional and non-traditional students, from almost every unit on the main campus and from SCS. Barbara Feinman Todd and Asra Nomani worked unbelievably hard on this project over the past several years almost entirely behind the scenes. We are proud of them and of Georgetown today. We are very lucky to have them in our Department.
