Anna K. Sagal (MA '09) Awarded Long-Term Fellowship by Newberry Library

Former M.A. student Anna K. Sagal (MA ’09) has been awarded a long-term fellowship by The Newberry, an independent research library in Chicago. In an effort to support scholarship in the humanities, each year a number of fellowships are bestowed upon worthy applicants. Anna received both the Audrey Lumsden-Kouvel Fellowship as well as the Monticello College Foundation Fellowship for Women. Her research project, entitled Experimental Women: Women Writers & Scientific Work in the Long Eighteenth Century will explore eighteenth-century scientific practice through women’s writing and craftwork.
