Seeing Anew: Making Working-Class Literature Visible Through a Working-Class Intersectional Gaze

Professor Emeritus Pamela Fox and Professor Sherry Linkon collaborated on a new article exploring the idea of a working-class intersectional gaze through analysis of Ocean Vuong’s novel, On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous. The piece appears in the newly-published Routledge Companion to Working-Class Literature. Along with reading Vuong’s novel, Fox and Linkon propose five questions critics might bring to any text to examine how it represents working-class perspectives.
