How to Apply

The Creative Writing Minor welcomes fall or spring term applications from students who have taken (or are taking) at least one creative writing workshop or equivalent. You qualify to join the Minor by taking one creative writing workshop; however, we can accept up to 20 students per class year (i.e., during the 2024-25 school year, 20 sophomores total can be admitted). Normally, students apply in their sophomore year. Juniors and transfer students with a strong background in creative writing are encouraged to apply. The application form helps us gauge your interests and learn your plans for the Minor.

Please submit the following materials via the CW Minor Application Google Form by October 25, 2024 @ 5PM:

• Statement of Purpose (1 page)
• Writing Sample (up to 6 pages)
• Unofficial Transcript
