Congratulations to Perry Guevara for his recent Fulbright grant!

The English Department congratulates Perry Guevara on his recent Fulbright grant!

Perry Guevara is a second year student in the English MA program at Georgetown. He is the recipient of a J. William Fulbright grant to teach English in a secondary school in Madrid, Spain and to conduct research into the politics of mourning, memory, and violence in Spanish literature. He graduated with a BA in English and Spanish from the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa, Alabama) and studied art at La Universidad de Alcalá de Henares (Madrid, Spain). After the Fulbright, he will begin PhD coursework at Emory University (Atlanta, Georgia).
