Alum wins Vilcek Prize for Creative Promise in Literature

The Vilcek Foundation gives very prestigious annual awards in the arts and sciences to the foreign-born. This year, our very own Dinaw Mengestu was the winner for Creative Promise in Literature, and our own Ilya Kaminsky (who just read for Lannan Center a few weeks ago) was the runner-up! Both majored in English at Georgetown.
