We are honored to share that Professor Libbie Rifkin is one of three professors at Georgetown University to receive this year’s prestigious Dean’s Excellence in Teaching Award! She is a Teaching Professor in the Department of English, was the Founding Director of the Program in Disability Studies from 2017–20, and now currently serves as the first Special Advisor to the Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Disability.
As the description on the College’s website states: the “award is given to those faculty members who have demonstrated that they are exceptional educators who are deeply committed to enriching the undergraduate experience.” We certainly know this to be true of Libbie who was nominated by Jennifer Natalya Fink, the current Director of the Program in Disability Studies.
