Professor Lena Orlin, Executive Director of the Shakespeare Association of America, will be presenting a paper next week at the International Association of University Professors of English (IAUPE) conference titled, “What We Know about Shakespeare 400 Years after his Death.” The conference is hosted this year by the University of London and meets triennially to build a stronger sense of community between scholars of English from across the globe.
This past spring semester, Professor Orlin keynoted “Shakespeare 400,” at King’s College London. She also gave a three-lecture series at Harvard University, Boston University, and Boston College. These talks, “Shakespeare’s Father,” “Shakespeare’s Wife,” and “Shakespeare’s Daughters,” were in honor of the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death. Lastly, Orlin delivered a plenary presentation at SEDERI, the Spanish and Portuguese conference on English Renaissance literature.
Best of luck presenting next week and congratulations on all these wonderful accomplishments!
