Carolyn Forche Poem "On Earth" Performed by Luciana Souza

This Saturday, November 4th at 8:00pm Washington Performing Arts Center will perform Carolyn Forché’s poem “On Earth.”

“Brazilian superstar Souza joins forces with the 17 virtuoso strings of A Far Cry to give voice to poet Carolyn Forché’s “On Earth,” a luminous meditation on life and loss, through musical settings by five of the most distinctive creative voices in indie-classical music: Rachel Grimes, Angélica Negrón, My Brightest Diamond’s Shara Nova, Pulitzer Prize-winner Caroline Shaw, and Sarah Kirkland Snider.”
