Angelyn Mitchell Honored with 2020 Distinguished Leader Award

This past weekend, Professor Angelyn Mitchell was honored at the Patrick Healy Dinner hosted by the Georgetown University Alumni Association with the 2020 Distinguished Leader Award.

According to the organizers of the dinner:

In 2018, the Georgetown University African-American Advisory Board established the Distinguished Leader Award to honor the outstanding contributions of Georgetown University’s African-American administrators, faculty, and staff. Presented at the Patrick Healy Dinner, the award is given to a member of Georgetown’s campus community who has made significant contributions to the university and demonstrated unwavering commitment to the experiences of African-American members of the Georgetown University community.

Many thanks for all the work you do to support the Department English and its students. Congratulations, Angie, and well-deserved!
