Barbara Feinman Todd: The Value of Teaching Journalism

The Hoya published Barbara Feinman Todd’s piece The Value of Teaching Journalism on Monday in advance of her retirement. After twenty-five years of teaching at Georgetown University, Barbara not only has a long list of achievements, but has influenced an innumerable amount of students. 

Barbara writes, “So many of my students had enormous promise when they came to me. Sometimes, they did not know it, and my job was just to hold up a mirror. Other times, they were talented but undisciplined and needed some tough love.”
