Gretchen Henderson Receives National Endowment for the Humanities Grant

The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) has awarded Gretchen Henderson and Karen Bassi (Professor at the University of California, Santa Cruz), a grant for the Summer Institute at Georgetown (July 2019) on “Museums: Humanities in the Public Sphere.”
This Institute will bring 25 College and University professors to campus to learn about this timely interdisciplinary topic. Scheduled faculty include a dozen leading scholars from around the country and museum specialists from local institutions who will lead a sequence of interconnected seminars and site visits around museums and public humanities. In the process, different initiatives underway at Georgetown will be highlighted.
