John Hirsh Selected to Receive Engaged Career Scholarship Award

John Hirsh has been selected to receive this year’s Engaged Career Scholarship Award from Campus Compact Mid-Atlantic for his life-long dedication to social justice education.

The award specifically recognizes John’s work on the Sursum Corda project, which he’s led and sustained for many decades, and which continues to be a meaningful contribution to the public good, including the community-based tutoring program itself, the training in social justice education that it offers undergraduate volunteer tutors, and the scholarship that John has produced out of his work on the project.
