Spending Spring Break in School

While many alternative spring breaks focus on service, Panaram wanted to design an “immersion trip” that delved into issues specific to urban schools. “I wanted to expose people to the education inequalities that do exist,” she explained. As an English major with a minor in education, inquiry, and justice, Panaram has spent much of her time on the Hilltop trying to understand urban education issues.
