Sherry Linkon Selected for 2019 C.L.R. James Award for book ‘The Half-Life of Deindustrialization: Working-Class Writing about Economic Restructuring’

The Working Class Studies Association has awarded Sherry Linkon’s book, The Half-Life of Deindustrialization: Working-Class Writing about Economic Restructuring, the C.L.R. James Award for Published Book for Academic or General Audiences.

This award recognizes the best new work in the field of working-class studies and was praised by judges as “a new and bold intervention into the scholarship on working-class literature and culture.
