We are excited to share that Georgetown University, courtesy of our very own Professor Amani Morrison as Lead Principal Investigator, was awarded a $225,000 Mellon Sawyer Seminar grant to support the planning and implementation over 24 months of a seminar on “Creative Placemaking, Black Restorative Ecologies, and Black Spatial Futures!” The John E. Sawyer Seminars act as temporary research centers for intensive study of historical and cultural foundations of contemporary phenomena.

Congratulations, Professor Morrison!
